Terms of Service

Folio Studio is an online service that allows authors to transform markdown files into professionally formatted books (epub, PDF, docx). The service is available at foliostudio.app.

The service is published by Adrien Daniel Claude Maillard EI, a French individual entrepreneur registered under SIREN 108 317 595.

By using Folio Studio, you unconditionally accept these Terms of Service.

Access to the service requires creating an account with a valid email address. You are responsible for the confidentiality of your password.

Folio Studio offers several plans (Free, Starter, Pro); their details, limits and prices are listed on the site's Pricing page.

You retain all rights to the content you import and create on Folio Studio. By using the service, you grant us only a limited, non-exclusive license to store and process your content in order to provide the service.

The code, designs, templates and interface of Folio Studio are the exclusive property of their creators. Any reproduction or use without authorization is prohibited.

You are solely responsible for the content you import, create, share or export. You warrant that (a) you hold all rights necessary for this content and (b) this content is lawful and does not infringe any third-party right or applicable law.

You may not import, create, store, share or distribute:

• –illegal content, in particular child sexual abuse material, content glorifying terrorism, or inciting hatred, violence or discrimination
• –defamatory or abusive content, or content infringing the privacy or image rights of others
• –counterfeit content or content infringing third-party intellectual property rights
• –content intended to circumvent your plan limits, for spam, or for large-scale automated generation

Sharing your login credentials is also prohibited. You agree to indemnify Folio Studio against any third-party claim or action arising from content published in breach of these Terms.

If you believe that content accessible through Folio Studio, in particular via a public share link, is illegal or infringes your rights, you may report it to abuse@foliostudio.app stating the identification of the content (URL or link), the reason for the report and your contact details.

Folio Studio acts as a hosting provider: we do not carry out general monitoring of content, but we review every report and promptly remove any manifestly illegal content. Content falling within the most serious categories (child sexual abuse material, glorification of terrorism) is removed immediately and reported to the competent authorities.

Prices and the recurring or one-off nature of each purchase are displayed before the order. Payments are processed by Stripe. Subscriptions renew at the selected interval until cancelled.

You may cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current period; no pro-rated refund is applied, except where mandatory law requires otherwise.

Export unlocks and AI credit top-ups are one-off digital purchases. Before payment, you must expressly request immediate performance and acknowledge losing your withdrawal right once the service is fully performed or the credits are consumed. This acceptance is recorded and confirmed by email on a durable medium.

An unlock is considered consumed upon the first successful export that uses the purchase. An AI pack is considered consumed as soon as one of its credits is no longer available. A standard refund may be reviewed before consumption for a verified duplicate or technical failure and is refused after consumption. This rule does not restrict statutory conformity rights or any other mandatory legal right.

Folio Studio endeavors to keep the service accessible as much as possible. However, no 100% availability guarantee is given.

The service is provided "as is". Folio Studio shall not be liable for data loss or indirect damage resulting from the use of the service.

Folio Studio reserves the right to suspend or delete an account in the event of a violation of these Terms, without notice or refund.

You may delete your account at any time from your settings. All your data will be deleted within 30 days.

These Terms may be amended. In the event of a substantial change, you will be notified by email. Continued use of the service constitutes acceptance of the new terms.

These Terms are governed by French law. Any dispute will be submitted to the competent courts of France.
